Bedford Borough Council is hoping to set up a new Bedford Park volunteer gardening group in 2025. This is likely to be a monthly task force to help with the maintenance of the park borders and beds. Please email if you are interested.

Accessibility
The park is fully accessible; however lots of the tasks take place in the flower beds, so best to check what tasks are planned each month before attending.
What to bring
Wear suitable clothes, sturdy shoes and bring any personal refreshments, although there is a café on site. Most equipment is provided but if volunteers could bring secateurs and or a trowel that would be very helpful.
Facilities
Facilities in the park include a bowls green, café, car park on site (three hours free parking with a ticket), toilets (chargeable), play areas and sport areas (including basketball, bowls green, tennis courts and football, rounders and cricket pitches.
Transport
Free parking on site (need to get a ticket for up to 3hrs free parking) and cycle racks available
