Community transport
Help for people unable to use public transport.
Door to Door in the Bedford area and Greensand Country Community Transport across much of Central Bedfordshire provide wheelchair accessible minibuses for people who find it hard to use public transport.
We provide a safe, accessible service for those who are unable to use ordinary public transport due to disability, either temporary or permanent.
This door-to-door service enables those who cannot use conventional public transport to go shopping, visit friends and attend doctor’s appointments.
Professional and friendly
Vehicles used are constructed for ease of access, even if a wheelchair is required.
All vehicles are fitted with a tail lift and staff can escort you to or from your door if needed.
The staff and volunteers aim to provide at all times a reliable, personal and friendly service, allowing added freedom and independence.
Membership
To use these services you must first register as a Member. This is so that we are aware of your contact details and any particular needs you have.
Booking a journey
Once you've become a member of our service, you can book journeys from Monday to Friday, between 9am to 12pm.

General enquiries is open from Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm, on 01234 834933.
Cost
Price: £20 for the first year and £20 annually thereafter. There is also a charge per journey. These vary according to distance, starting at £4 each way.
