Dunstable Community Halls Community Garden

Would you like to get involved in a  gardening project in the heart of Dunstable? You’re welcome to join our community garden sessions at Dunstable Community Halls – a place to grow food and flowers, and help create a beautiful relaxing space.

No gardening experience needed!

Our community garden areas include a food growing garden with wheelchair accessible raised beds, a greenhouse, potting benches, seating and a striking mural that gives a nod to the use of the site past and present. We also have raised ornamental beds at the front of the halls and a new Wellbeing Garden tucked away behind the top hall.

Tasks are seasonal and may include: seed sowing, planting out, building planters, pruning, weeding and maintaining plants.

Gardening can support our wellbeing in many ways, these include helping us to:

  • Be more physically activity
  • Improve our mental wellbeing
  • Access fresh vegetables and herbs
  • Get to know new people.

Our gardens are also available for use by other groups by arrangement. To find out more, please contact nicola.scholfield@bedsrcc.org.uk or call 07984 275652
