Bedfordshire TCV

TCV offer a wide range of conservation activities to get involved in, including grass cutting and raking, tree planting, pond clearance, scrub clearance, step repairs, fence repairs, wildflower planting, hedgelaying and more. All work is to either benefit wildlife directly or to improve people’s access to their green spaces.

A minibus takes volunteers from The Cemetery Gatehouse, Foster Hill Road, Bedford. The actual work sites are at a wide range of sites around Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas – participants can also meet us directly on site by arrangement.

People volunteering with TCV get to be outdoors and access sites they might not have known about, they learn practical conservation and group skills, they get gentle exercise and work with a group of other likeminded volunteers. They also achieve a visible and measurable task each session and have the satisfaction of doing something for other people and wildlife.

Activities every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday all year round except bank holidays/break over Christmas week.

In 2026, sessions will also start on Sundays.
