Biddenham Conservation Volunteers

Biddenham Conservation Volunteers is a friendly, informal group working to preserve and improve the natural environment of the Parish.

Our main interest is to support the management of Cowslip Meadow to sustain and enhance the biodiversity of plant and tree species, and their dependent animal species.  Tasks include plant and tree surveys, coppicing, pollarding, crown raising, and dead hedge laying. Training in all these activities can be given to all who want to learn new skills.

We also help maintain footpaths in the village by cutting back vegetation, filling potholes and mowing pathways in the Cowslip Meadow.

In the future we hope to take on more conservation projects in the village and are always open to suggestions as to how we may achieve this aim.
